Lovebird

As pets, Lovebirds are often marketed as having the "personality of a parrot, but in a smaller, easier to care for package." While they can live up to their names and be very affectionate, they can be fiesty with their owners if they don't receive enough attention, and can also be aggressive with other birds. For this reason, they are more often recommended for people who have some experience as bird owners. Lovebirds typically live 10-15 years, and do well on a pelleted diet supplemented with fresh vegetables and fruit.
