Corydoras Catfish

Corydoras Catfish (Corys, Cory Cats) are hardy, peaceful bottom dwellers. They are small -- no more than 5 inches, usually 2.5" to 3.5" -- with distinctive bony plates running down the length of their bodies. Corys are a favorite with beginner aquarists, as they are low maintenance. They need a minimum (with more being better) of a 10 gallon tank, and enjoy having plants for cover. They will also clean the bottom of your tank -- just make sure not to use them as a subsitute for proper cleaning and maintenance on your part. Your cory will enjoy fish flakes, pellets, and bottom feeder tablets, and can live five or more years.
